Abstract

The purpose of this survey is to study the effectiveness of recruitment methods used by selected firms in the manufacturing sector in Malaysia. Specifically, this study is interested in looking at the extent the recruitment methods used by these firms are viewed as effective in recruiting stable and quality workers. A similar study was conducted by Richard and Stubbfield from the University of Utah and they made a number of interesting observations. Another purpose of this study is to look at what extent those observations made by Richardson and Stubbfield is also present in the recruitment practices of selected firms in Malaysia.
