Abstract

An entrepeneur is a person always motivated to produce something of utility and eager to change and innovate. Among the problems faced are lack of resourcefulness, knowledge, skills and exper tise and also lackınng in supports, and and reinforcement. Entrepreneurial development model starts with the fostering of the need to achieve and the development of positive attitude from the family environment. The national education policy should also give emphasis on business and management education. A centre for Research and Training of the modular type should be established at the national level with the objectives of imparting technical, human and conseptual skills. A one-stop agency should also be established to develop instruments for the selection of potential en trepreneurs, information about industnes and markers, to provide bursaries and scholarships, to help obtain the necessary infrastructure and capital for the potential and existing entrepreneurs. The philosophy behind the establishement of of the one-stop agency is to provide the entrepreneurs with a package deal’ The one-stop agency service should also be extended until the entrepreneur is ready to become an independent industrialist.
