International Relations Unit (IRU)

About Us

The International Relations Unit (IRU) was established in January 2020 as an initiative by the Faculty of Medicine to enhance the enrollment of international students into undergraduate and postgraduate programs from around the world.

This unit is the first international unit established at the faculty level in UKM. The IRU is responsible for assisting international students in matters related to admission, student affairs, and visas.

The responsibilities of the IRU at the Faculty of Medicine, UKM are as follows:

UNDERGRADUATE

  • Admission of students to the UKM International (UKMi) Program


POSTGRADUATE

  • Visa applications for Clinical Attachment, Specialist Doctor Program (clinical and non-clinical), and PhD programs
  • Admission of Clinical Fellowship candidates (all international candidates intending to undertake programs of six months or longer)
