Dari Hati Suri: Suri Circle Programme : Series 1

On 4 July 2026, Series 1 of the Dari Hati Suri: Suri Circle Programme was successfully held at the Tun Fatimah Hashim Gallery, Tun Fatimah Hashim Women’s Leadership Centre (PKWTFH), Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSK), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.

The programme is one of the initiatives under the Women’s Leadership Endowment Grant, aimed at empowering homemakers through knowledge sharing, personal development, and the creation of a supportive and meaningful community space.

A total of 30 homemakers from the Kampung Muhibbah People’s Housing Programme (PPR) participated in the programme. Also present were Dr. Noremy Md. Akhir, Head of PKWTFH; seven researchers led by Dr. Norulhuda Sarnon @ Kusenin, one of the recipients of the Women’s Leadership Endowment Grant; and three PKWTFH staff members, who worked together to ensure the smooth implementation of the programme.

One of the programme’s most meaningful sessions was “Self Reflection”, an introspective activity that used a plain white mask as a medium for self-expression.

During this session, participants were invited to decorate and colour their masks according to their own creativity, symbolising their identity, emotions, life experiences, and personal aspirations. Every colour and design reflected a unique story, providing an opportunity for participants to better understand themselves, appreciate their personal journeys, and share their experiences in a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment.

The programme continued with the “Mask Therapy” session, conducted by the founder of MyMuka, who introduced a holistic approach to self-care through water molecular crystal technology infused with sound frequencies. The session highlighted that self-care goes beyond skincare—it also plays an important role in promoting emotional well-being, mental calmness, and self-confidence.

PKWTFH hopes that programmes like Dari Hati Suri: Suri Circle will inspire participants to continue embracing self-love, prioritising their mental and emotional well-being, and recognising their value as individuals who play a vital role within their families and communities.
