Linguafest @ UKM 2025

“Linguafest@UKM, organized by the Foreign Language Unit of the Centre for Language and Linguistics, FSSK, was held on 12–13 November at Dewan Perdana, FSSK. The event featured language workshops, interactive cultural sessions, culinary demonstrations, student performances, and creative competitions, enriching students’ learning experiences while promoting appreciation for linguistic and cultural diversity.”

Fire Drill 2025

“The fire drill held at the new PKBL Language, Media and STEM Laboratories on 3 November marks another step forward in our dedication to campus safety and resilience. This initiative is designed not only to evaluate our emergency protocols but also to instill awareness, sharpen response strategies and promote a strong preparedness culture among our campus population. Such efforts are essential in ensuring that our community remains ready, vigilant and equipped to face any unforeseen situation. Through continuous training, collaboration and real-world simulation exercises like this, we aim to strengthen our collective capability to respond effectively during emergencies and uphold a safe learning environment for all.”

Debate for Integrity: 2025 IPT Championship at UKM

“UKM Hosts 2025 Anti-Corruption IPT Debate at PKBL!
Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) hosted the 2025 Anti-Corruption Inter-University Debate Competition from 10–12 October 2025, with the Centre for Language Studies (PKBL), FSSK serving as the official venue. The event gathered 40 teams and 160 participants nationwide. The University of Malaya (UM) emerged as champion after defeating UPNM in the final round. The awards were presented by MACC Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki. The successful organization of the competition reflects UKM’s commitment to academic excellence and integrity.”

Minggu Aspirasi Watan 2025 was filled with bright smiles, warm welcomes, and unforgettable energy! With the theme ‘A Classic Story,’ the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities came alive as lecturers, support staff, and new PKBL students gathered to celebrate the start of an exciting journey together. Every moment captured reflects joy, teamwork, and the spirit of starting fresh in a new chapter. PKBL TEAM BUILDING 2025 

Perkasa Bersama PKBL was successfully held at Duta Riang Melaka for 3 days and 2 nights from 18–20 September. This programme was designed to strengthen teamwork, enhance communication, and foster closer collaboration among PKBL staff. Participants consisted of support staff and lecturers who took part in various team-building activities, workshops, and interactive sessions aimed at building unity and professional bonding.”
