Executive Talk on “Global Warming: Climate Change Adaptation”

On 22nd December 2009, Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) with Malaysian Meteorological Department and Southeast Asia Disaster Prevention Research Institute, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (SEADPRI-UKM) has organised the Executive Talk entitled “Global Warming: Climate Change Adaptation” at the Putrajaya International Convention Center (PICC), Putrajaya, Malaysia. Dr. Philipp Schimdt-Thomé, Senior Scientist of Geological Survey of Finland (GTK) spoke on “Natural Hazards and Climate (Change) Adaptation: Examples of Facing Multiple Challenges from a Planning Perspective”. The Talk aims to enhance understanding of past and current changes in regional and local climate and build scientific capacity in successful adaptation to climate change.
