STEM @ ARISE Program

The Center for Sustainable Process Technology (CESPRO) at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) successfully hosted a two-day STEM workshop on December 18-19, 2023. The event, held at the CESPRO lab, was part of the Applied Research & Innovations in STEM Education (ARISE) program and focused on the integration of 3D printing technology in STEM education. Organized in collaboration with the Center for STEM Education Research, Faculty of Education, UKM, the workshop attracted teachers and students from across Terengganu. The initiative aimed to enhance STEM learning by demonstrating the practical applications of 3D printing technology.

Our team lead conducts series of STEM modules conducted by Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Mohd Shaiful SajabDr. Wan Hafizi Wan Ishak, Siti Aisyah Syazwani Zaidi, and Muhammad Alif Fitri Hanipa.

The workshop commenced with an opening session attended by the head of CESPRO, who welcomed participants and facilitated a meet-and-greet. Representatives from the Terengganu State Education Department (JPN) and District Education Office (PPD) also visited, underscoring the event’s significance. Participants engaged in hands-on activities and interactive sessions, gaining valuable insights into how 3D printing can revolutionize STEM education. The workshop highlighted the importance of innovative teaching methods in fostering a deeper understanding of STEM concepts among students. CESPRO remains committed to supporting educational initiatives and welcomes future visits, training sessions, and collaborations. The success of this workshop reflects the ongoing dedication to advancing STEM education nationwide.
