Program Jalinan Kasih Komuniti Penyayang 2024

On 28 March 2024, members from the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering (JKKP), FKAB, UKM took part in the Program Jalinan Kasih Komuniti Penyayang at Pusat Jagaan Rufaidah, Jenderam Hilir, Dengkil, Selangor. The program was held from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. as part of the Imarah Ramadan initiative.

The activity was led by Wan Nazihah Liyana and joined by members Muhammad Alif Fitri and Siti Aisyah Syazwani, together with other postgraduate students and staff of JKKP. Participants spent meaningful time interacting and chatting with the elderly residents, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere. They also joined hands in a gotong-royong (clean-up) activity to help maintain the centre’s environment. In the evening, everyone gathered for a breaking fast session (iftar) with the residents, sharing food and joyful moments together.

The group also contributed donations to support the centre’s daily needs and the ongoing development of its facilities. This community service program aimed to strengthen the bond between UKM members and the local community, while promoting the values of compassion, care, and togetherness during the holy month of Ramadan.
