Founded in 2016, Al-Turath Journal of Al-Quran and Al-Sunnah (e-ISSN 0128-0899) is a peer reviewed journal published twice a year (June and December) by the Research Centre for al-Quran and al-Sunnah, Faculty of Islamic Studies, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. It publishes articles and research papers in Bahasa Melayu, English, and Arabic, in the scope of al-Quran and al-Sunnah, particularly Quranic studies (Tafsir, Qiraat, Tarannum), Hadith studies, Islamic education related to Al-Quran and Hadith and Contemporary issues addressed through the lens of Al-Quran and Hadith.

The journal publishes original research articles, review articles, comments, research notes and book reviews in Islamic studies. All submitted original research articles should not have been published elsewhere, report on original work, previously unpublished research results, experimental or theoretical. Articles submitted to the journal should meet these criteria and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere.

Respecting diversity, the editors’ welcome contributions from all academic traditions and perspectives, be they Muslim or non-Muslim; from the Islamic world or the West; Classic or Contemporary.
