The UKM-ISESCO- COMSATS International Workshop and Conference On Nanotechnology (IWCN) conference series was initiated and successfully organized by Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in 2007. Following the success of IWCN2007, UKM was once again selected as the main organizer for the 2 nd and 3 rd series namely IWCN2010 and IWCN2012 respectively while the 4 th series of the conference was organized by National Research Center, Egypt. Once again, UKM has been requested as the main organizer for the 5 th IWCN which is scheduled to be held in 2017 to mark a decade of IWCN as the platform for scientists and researchers in nanoscience and nanotechnology from ISESCO and COMSATS Member Countries to meet, discuss and share their expertise.
Building up to the coming conference, A Decade of IWCN in 2017, we proposed that a workshop on nanotechnology for young scientists to be carried out in 2016.
