Membrane Workshop 2024: Synthesis, Fabrication, and Applications in Water & Wastewater Treatment

Introduction

The Membrane Workshop 2024, organised by CESPRO FKAB UKM, exposed participants to membrane synthesis, fabrication, and applications in water and wastewater treatment, tackling issues such as fouling and scaling.

Objectives

  • Provide fundamental knowledge on membrane synthesis and fabrication.
  • Expose participants to applications of membrane technology in water treatment.
  • Develop practical skills for membrane research and industrial applications.

Conclusion

The workshop fostered innovation in membrane technology and strengthened water treatment research, contributing to SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation.

Program Saintis Air (MyStiA): Air Bersih, Generasi Sihat

Introduction

Organised by CESPRO FKAB UKM and the Department of Chemical & Process Engineering, this community outreach programme engaged school students on river conservation and water treatment awareness.

Objectives

  • Expose students to the importance of rivers.
  • Encourage teamwork in spreading water conservation awareness.
  • Teach practical steps for river preservation.
  • Boost STEM interest through water treatment technology.
