No Show Policy

No Show Policy

To be published in the IconSpace2021 Conference Proceedings and eligible for publication in IEEE Xplore® as well as other Abstracting and Indexing (A&I) databases, an author of an accepted paper is required to register for the conference at the full (member or non-member) rate. For authors with multiple accepted papers, one full paper registration is valid for one paper only. Non-refundable registration fees must be paid prior to uploading the final IEEE formatted, or a publication-ready version of the paper.

Each paper must be presented by an author of the paper in person at the conference. Request for permission to have the paper presented by a substitute presenter may be granted by the TPC Chairs under certain circumstances. A request of a substitute presenter must be sent to the TPC Chairs in advance before the conference date. The author, co-author or representative of the papers would be required to be present during the Q&A session and must be ready to answer any questions from the virtual audience.

Authors of no-show papers wishing to appeal the no-show status of their paper must appeal by email to the IconSpace2021 organising committee (, no later than 30 days after the start of IconSpace2021 and providing evidence to convincingly demonstrate that their absence was as a result of forces beyond their will and control or that an erroneous decision was made. Possible evidence for exceptions includes:

  • Medical documents
  • Death notices

In addition to this policy, the main author of the paper is not allowed to add or drop a co-author when the papers were accepted for publication.
