KAJANG, 24 April 2026 – Pusat IDEA UKM, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) conducted a courtesy visit and strategic discussion with the Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (MIROS) to explore potential research collaboration in the field of road safety.
The session, which took place on 24 April 2026 (Friday) at 9.30 a.m. at the MIROS Headquarters in Kajang, Selangor, formed part of Pusat IDEA UKM’s continuous efforts to strengthen strategic partnerships with national research agencies and key stakeholders.
The UKM delegation was led by Prof. Dr. Jamia Azdina Jamal, Director of Pusat IDEA UKM, together with Prof. Dr. Salasiah Hanin Hamjah and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Rizal Razman, as well as officers from Pusat IDEA UKM.
During the discussion, both parties exchanged views on potential collaboration in road safety research, particularly in supporting evidence-based policy development, proposing innovative solutions, and enhancing public awareness on road safety issues.
The engagement also created opportunities to explore how UKM researchers’ expertise could be aligned with MIROS’ research needs in developing more holistic and impactful solutions for society.
This visit is expected to serve as a catalyst for high-impact research collaboration between both institutions while contributing to more effective policy development and improved road safety outcomes for the nation.
