The Workshop on the Evaluation and Submission of Final Drafts for the Gegar Gamat Agents of Change (GGPP) UKM 2025 Research Publications was held on Tuesday, 13 May 2025, at Hotel Park Royal @ UNITEN, Bangi, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The workshop was organised by the Centre for IDEA, UKM as part of its effort to review, assess, and finalise the manuscripts for three research volumes under the GGPP initiative, which compile selected research outcomes from various research clusters.
Three reviewers were invited to provide assessments and recommendations for improvement: Professor Dr. Nur Azura Sanusi (Universiti Malaysia Terengganu), Professor Ts. Dr. Seow Ta Wee (Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia), and Associate Professor Dr. Wan Azdie Mohd Abu Bakar (International Islamic University Malaysia). Also present were the Director of the Centre for IDEA UKM, Professor Dr. Jamia Azdina Jamal; the volume editors and research cluster leads — Professor Zulkefly Abdul Karim, Professor Muhammad Rizal Razman, and Professor Norbahiah Misran; as well as Mr. Zunnurain Razali, representative from UKM Press (PENERBIT UKM), who delivered a technical briefing on the publication process. Administrative officers from the Centre for IDEA were also in attendance.
The key outcome of the workshop was the comprehensive review and refinement of all three book drafts based on the reviewers’ feedback. A mutually agreed timeline for final submission to UKM Press was also established. This workshop marked a significant milestone in the academic publishing process, reflecting UKM’s strategic contributions to the advancement of knowledge, policy development, and societal impact for the year 2025.
