This focus area featured three main sub-themes, namely Educational Innovation, Policy and Governance, and Language and National Identity, with participation from three leading public higher education institutions: Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), and Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia (UIAM). Throughout the festival, a total of 39 research and innovation products from public universities nationwide were showcased at the Malaysia MADANI booth, reflecting the diversity of high-impact research outcomes that support national development priorities.
The exhibition received an overwhelmingly positive response from visitors. The Malaysia MADANI booth was further honoured by an official visit from Prof. Dato’ Dr. Sufian Jusoh, Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, and Prof. Dr. Jamia Azdina Jamal, Director of Pusat IDEA UKM and Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation). The presence of senior management representatives from UPSI and UIAM further strengthened the official visit, reflecting a shared commitment among higher education institutions to advancing the aspirations of Malaysia MADANI.
Overall, participation on the opening day of the exhibition successfully highlighted the strength of research and innovation across multiple institutions, supporting the Malaysia MADANI agenda through the enhancement of the national education ecosystem, the strengthening of policy and governance development, and the elevation of the national language and identity.
