18 August 2025 – A discussion session with E-Idaman Sdn Bhd was held at UKMShape Building to deliberate on a proposal for the takeover and management of the UKM Recycling Centre. During the session, the delegation from E-Idaman Sdn Bhd, led by Mr. Ahmad Fahmy Ismail Hajad and his team, presented several potential collaboration proposals. As an initial step, various improvement strategies were also discussed to ensure that the management of the UKM Recycling Centre can be carried out in a more sustainable manner, while simultaneously enhancing awareness among the UKM community and surrounding residents regarding the centre.

The discussion was chaired by Prof. Dato’ Ts. Dr. Norazah Mohd Nordin, Director of the Centre for International Strategic Negotiation and Sustainable Development Goals, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM ISN-SDG). Also present were Prof. Sr Ts. Gs. Dr. Khairul Nizam Abdul Maulud, Executive Deputy Director (Sustainability), UKM Strategy Centre; Dr. Irfana Kabir Ahmad (Department of Civil Engineering, UKM); and LAr. Nor’Ain Mohd Jali, Head of the Landscape Unit, JPP, along with other team members.
