A Bachelor degree with honours (CGPA 2.75 and above) from The National University of Malaysia or its equivalent from any other recognized university


  • CGPA 2.50 – 2.74 with at least 1 year working experience in related field after obtaining the degree

  • CGPA 2.30 – 2.49 with at least 5 years working experience

  • English Language Requirements
English Language Requirements
  • International students shall fulfil the English language requirements by obtaining a minimum score of 5.5 for IELTS or the equivalent of any examination that has been aligned to The Common European Framework of Reference(CEFR) as approved by the Senate.

  • An international student who fails to meet the English language competency requirements may be given a conditional offer as follows:
  1. Students are allowed to attend an internal English Preparatory Course at the University with a time limit of a maximum of two (2) years and subject to the regulations of the Malaysian Immigration Department in force; and
  2. International students pursuing an internal English Preparatory Course must sit for the IELTS or TOEFL, or MUET examinations or any CEFR-aligned examination to meet the English language competency requirements.

  • The list of examinations that has been aligned to the CEFR is subject to the list approved by the Senate and continuously updated.

  • The Faculty/Institute may grant exemptions to the conditions stated in sub regulations 5(1) and 5(2) to:
  1. International students originating from countries that use English as the official language; or
  2. International students who use academic qualifications from institutions that use English as the medium of instruction and intend to pursue higher studies at the University.

Requirements for Viva Voce

  • Master of Science candidates need to fulfil the publication requirement as determined by the Faculty before thesis submission.

  • The course on Research Methodology (KKKF6003) iscompulsory for Master of Science candidatesundertaking thesis/research.

  • International students must attend and pass the BahasaMelayu course as determined by the University.
