Eligibility:
- Open to all secondary students aged between 13 to 17.
- Participants may join the competition individually or in teams of up to five (5) members.

π ABOUT JOINING
Q1: Can I submit more than one idea?
A1: No. Each participant may submit only one entry, either individually or in teams of up to five (5) members.
Q2: Can one person join twice, once as an individual and once as part of a team?
A2: No. Each participant may only join once, either individually or in teams of up to five (5) members.
Q3: If shortlisted, will the organizer cover travel and accommodation for the physical event at UKM?
A3: Yes. Travel and accommodation costs will be covered by the organizer.
π‘ ABOUT THE IDEA
Q4: What is the main focus of the competition?
A4: The competition aims to encourage critical thinking and creativity among students in developing innovative solutions for real-world challenges in the palm oil industry, especially in environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and economic impact.
Q5: Do we need to develop a real prototype?
A5: No. A concept or idea is sufficient for submission. However, a prototype is welcome if available.
π₯ ABOUT THE VIDEO
Q6: What is the required video format?
A6: The video must be in MP4 format, 3β5 minutes in duration, and submitted via the designated form link. The file must be clearly labeled with your name/team name and project title.
Q7: What language should be used for the video?
A7: Only English and Bahasa Melayu are allowed. Submissions in other languages will not be accepted.
Q8: Can we include slides or animations in the video?
A8: Yes. Slides, visuals, and animations are allowed to enhance presentation. However, participants must appear on camera and present the idea directly.

What Participants Need To Do?
Particpants will:
Students are required to develop a video presentation covering topics related to the palm oil industry:
- Palm Oil Export Competitiveness
- Sustainability & Environment
- Socioeconomic Development
- Innovation & Research
- Global & ASEAN Impact
- Social Responsibility
- Governance
Students can propose an idea, system, apps, tool, project or programme.
Submit a 3β5 minute video via the provided link.
The video should include clear explanations, relevant examples, visually engaging, and supported by credible sources where appropriate.

- COMPETITION DETAILS
- Participation Format
- Participants may join the competition individually or in pairs (maximum five members per team)
- All team members must meet the age and student status requirements at the time of registration.
- Language
All submissions must be in English or Bahasa Melayu only.
- Video Duration
The video should be between 3 to 5 minutes in length.
- Video Content & Focus
- Participants are encouraged to apply original thinking, creativity, and innovation in developing their idea and producing a short video. The video should present a clear and compelling solution that addresses real-world environmental, social, or economic challenges within the palm oil industry.
- Originality
- All submissions must be the original work of the participant(s).
- Entries must not infringe on any copyright, trademark, or intellectual property rights of others.
- Any background music or visuals used must be royalty-free.
- The organisers will not be held responsible for any legal claims resulting from copyright violations.
- Content Restrictions
- Submissions must not contain any content that may be deemed offensive, including content that is racist, religiously sensitive, culturally inappropriate, or defamatory to any individual or leader. Any submission that violates this rule may be disqualified.
- Publication Limitation
- Submitted videos must not be published or shared publicly (e.g. social media, websites, or YouTube) without prior approval from the organiser.
- Exclusivity
- Submissions must not have been previously submitted to other national or international video competitions. Breach of this condition will result in disqualification.
B. COPYRIGHT & USAGE RIGHTS
- Usage Rights
- The organizer reserves the right to use submitted videos (in whole or in part) for purposes of promoting palm oil awareness, including in publications, exhibitions, educational activities, and social media campaigns.
- Editing & Reproduction
- The organizer reserves the right to edit or adapt submitted videos for purposes such as research, education, broadcasting, and promotional campaigns related to palm oil.
