The General Collection is a collection of law books that can be borrowed by patrons and is placed on the open shelves of Level 1. The call number for this collection is prefixed with '2C'. There are also non-law books that are placed in the Law Library. These books are also placed on the open shelves of Level 1 and are prefixed with '21'.
This collection is located on Level 1 opposite the Loan/Return Counter. This collection consists of indexes, bibliographies, dictionaries, yearbooks, sample court forms and others.
Materials classified as statutes are acts, amendment acts, ordinances, legislation/regulations, enactments, government gazettes and parliamentary debates. These materials are placed on Level 2 and are prefixed '2A'. This collection can only be consulted within the library.
This collection is a closed collection and is housed on Level 2. These materials were formerly the collection of Prof. MB Hooker, a researcher of customary law. Each material is prefixed with '23' to its call number. These materials are for internal reference only and patrons are not allowed to take the materials out.
Law Reports consist of a collection of reported and unreported court cases and digests. Among the Law Reports available in the library are Malayan Law Journal (MLJ), English Reports, The All India Reporter and so on. These materials are placed on Level 2 and are prefixed '2B'. This collection can only be consulted within the library.
Current and past legal journals are arranged on shelves alphabetically by title. A list of journal titles is pasted on the front of the shelf panels to help patrons locate titles quickly. This collection of legal journals is located on Level 2 and can only be consulted within the library.
This collection was developed starting in 2013 and consists of books on the field of law published in ASEAN countries which are housed in the Library's Leisure Room. These materials are prefixed '22' and can be borrowed.
These materials are for reference only and are located on Level 1 of the Law Library. Patrons should refer to the list of titles provided at the Loan/Return Counter or online. If the desired title is on the list, patrons should inform the staff to obtain permission to refer.
Published and unpublished seminar materials related to law are prefixed with '2 sem' and followed by 'C'. These materials are placed in the Reference Collection, Level 1. This collection can only be consulted in the library.
This collection consists of journals, legal reports, statutes and books donated by Mrs. Catherine Addruse, wife of the late YM Raja Aziz Addruse. The late was a lawyer known for his humanitarian principles and was elected as the President of the Bar Council 3 times. This collection is housed in a special room on Level 2 and can only be consulted in that room.
This collection is housed in the Faculty Library Room and is a collection donated by YM Tengku Ahmad Rithauddeen bin Tengku Ismail, former Pro-Chancellor of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. This collection can only be consulted in the library.
