Why us?

Our programmes are well established with a track record of over 20 years and parked in a leading higher learning institution in Malaysia which is ranked among the top 200 universities in the world. Our postgraduate programmes attract a sizeable number of international students every year. ABOUT MCRS
Following the series of symposiums hosted by UiTM (2020) Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (2018), Universiti Putra Malaysia (2016), Universiti Malaya (2014) and Universiti Sains Malaysia (2012), this symposium aims to gather Malaysian corpus linguists and researchers across the region who are working on all aspects of corpus research to convene and share their work in progress and experiences in corpus research. 
The theme of the 2022 MCRS on Corpus Linguistics for Digital Humanities  focuses on the research in digital humanities and data science in enriching our understanding and solving issues pertinent to the digital society. 

OBJECTIVES
This symposium provides a platform for interaction, exploration and discussion of various corpus based research within the larger frame of digital humanities. With the participation of practitioners and researchers, paper presenters, postgrad students, focus groups and invited discussants the symposium is a platform to

  • Gather academician and researchers in the fields of Corpus linguistics and digital humanities to interact and exchange ideas.
  • Focus on issues facing the corpus linguistics and digital humanities research community
