Engineering Statistics

This course introduces statistics as one of the tools used in decision-making through data gathering and sampling. Amongst the main topics discussed are probability, Bayes’ Theorem, random data representation, discrete and continuous random variables: probability density function, cumulative distribution function, mean and variance, pointand interval estimation, test of significance and hypothesis testing, nonparametric tests, regression and correlation and quality control.
