Titian Kasih Aidilfitri

The Titian Kasih Aidilfitri Community Service Programme was successfully organized by the Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Medicine, UKM, in collaboration with the UKM Women’s Club, on 18 March 2026 at the Seminar Room, Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Medicine, UKM. The programme aimed to provide financial assistance to underprivileged staff and students (asnaf) in conjunction with the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration, while fostering compassion, unity, and a spirit of care within the university community.

The event began with the arrival of recipients and guests, followed by welcoming remarks delivered by the Head of the Department of Biochemistry, representatives of the UKM Women’s Club, and the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine. The highlight of the programme was the presentation of cash contributions to eligible recipients. A total of 25 asnaf staff members and four financially disadvantaged students received financial assistance amounting to RM150 each. For recipients who were unable to attend, the contributions were transferred directly into their bank accounts. The programme was funded through donations amounting to RM7,350, contributed by the UKM Women’s Club and individual donors.

Overall, the programme achieved its objectives by easing the financial burden of the recipients ahead of Aidilfitri, strengthening relationships among members of the university community, and promoting social responsibility and community welfare. It reflected UKM’s commitment to supporting those in need and nurturing a caring and inclusive campus environment.
