Ultraviolet/Visible/Near Infrared Spectrometer (UV-VIS-NIR)

Brand : Perkin Elmer
Model : Lambda 950

UV-VIS-NIR Spectrophotometer is the highest performance UV/VIS system which designed for analysis of coatings, high performance glass, and components in both research and manufacturing. This system operates by passing a beam of light through a sample and measuring wavelength of light reaching a detector.

The wavelength gives valuable information about the chemical structure while the intensity is related to the number of molecules, means quantity or concentration. Analytical information by this analysis can be revealed in terms of transmittance, absorbance or reflectance of energy in the wavelength range between 190 and 3300 nm. This equipment also equipped with 60mm integrating sphere which provides an ideal solution measurement for bulk, turbid, colloidal, transparent and translucent samples.

UV-VIS-NIR Spectrophotometer is routinely used to characterise solar cell materials, analysis of security ink, colour analysis, determine concentration of dyes in textile, determine food constituents and detection of impurities.`
