The Institute of Malaysian and International Studies (IKMAS) from UKM, together with the East Asian International Relations (EAIR) Caucus, will be organizing a Webinar Forum on the unfolding Myanmar crisis. Southeast Asian countries have always been confronting with a variety of regional uncertainty, but the current crisis in Myanmar has seen the strongest voices from abroad and at home to call for timely international interventions. Since the coup began on 1 February, the Myanmar junta has put many in prison; its crackdown on protests has resulted in the loss of many lives; and the casualties are expected to rise. What can ASEAN countries do to prevent a tragedy? Is there an ASEAN way to resolve the Myanmar crisis? What are the biggest dilemmas facing its member states? We invite former Foreign Minister of Malaysia, Director of IKMAS, and UMNO youth exco to join the forum discussion.
