NanoMalaysia Center of Excellence (NanoCoE)

A foundational milestone in our history was established in 2011 when the Institute of Microengineering and Nanoelectronics (IMEN) was recognized by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) as a NanoMalaysia Center of Excellence (NanoCoE). During the award ceremony, the Minister of MOSTI, YB Datuk Seri Panglima Dr. Maximus Johnity Ongkili, presented the recognition to UKM Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research & Innovation), Prof. Dato’ Dr. Rahmah Mohamed, alongside IMEN Director, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Burhanuddin Yeop Majlis. This prestigious accreditation specifically highlighted our capabilities in NEMS (NanoElectroMechanical Systems) for biomedical applications
