24th June 2026 – A distinguished session themed “Vision to Victories” was held at the UKM Faculty of Medicine as part of the CEO’s Meet & Greet Session at the Auditorium of Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz. This initiative forms part of the CEO@Faculty programme under the Ministry of Higher Education, designed to bridge the gap between academia and prominent industry leaders across the nation.
The event commenced with a welcoming address by Prof. Datin Dr. Marina Mat Baki, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, who underscored the importance of cross-disciplinary collaboration—particularly among medicine, technology, and communication—in shaping the future of the nation’s healthcare landscape. She further highlighted that direct engagement between students, academic staff, and industry leaders can spark inspiration and cultivate strategic thinking, both of which are crucial in today’s dynamic healthcare environment.
The session showcased three esteemed industry figures serving as CEO@Faculty representatives for the faculty:
🔹 Dato’ Kamarulazman Muhamed, Founder and CEO of Aerodyne Group – a global frontrunner in drone technology.
🔹 Ms. Jamie Loh, CEO and Executive Producer of JME Studio – a key figure in health education and professional event management.
🔹 Mr. Pang Swee Lei, Executive Director of PAMARAI Sdn. Bhd. – a seasoned leader in sustainable technology and waste management.
These industry experts shared their professional journeys and invaluable insights, offering fresh perspectives to the faculty community—particularly students—on the interplay between innovation, entrepreneurship, and social impact.
The session was skillfully moderated by Associate Professor Dr. Hardip Singh Gendeh and Mr. Ahmad Bukhari A Latib from the Secretariat for Industry Community and Partnerships (HEJIM).
Among the distinguished attendees were Dr. Aida Hanim A. Hamid, Director of I-KOM; Associate Professor Dr. Ruslinda Mustafar, Deputy Dean (Industry Community & Partnerships), who was also the driving force behind the programme; Prof. Datin Dr. Norlinah Mohamed Ibrahim, Deputy Dean (Postgraduate Studies); Prof. Dr. Mohamad Nasir Shafiee, Deputy Dean (Research & Innovation); Prof. Dr. Syahrul Sazliyana Shaharir, Assistant Dean (Clinical Services); Associate Prof. Dr. Mohd Helmy Mokhtar, Assistant Dean (Entrepreneurship); and Mr. Zansyuwari Mohamad Shahrullail, Head of Administration, along with members of the academic and administrative staff and students who took part in the insightful dialogue and knowledge-sharing session with the invited industry leaders.
Overall, this programme served as a strategic platform to foster new collaborations and further strengthen the Faculty of Medicine’s position as a national and global leader in health education, research, and innovation.

18th May 2025 – The Lecture Hall at the Preclinical Block of the UKM Faculty of Medicine buzzed with excitement as 66 participants comprising staff, students, and members of the public attended The Emcee Superstar Special Edition Workshop with Fedtri Yahya. Organized by the Secretariat of Industry Community & Partnerships (HEJIM) in collaboration with Sultanggmedia Sdn Bhd, the program featured exclusive sessions with two renowned emcees – Fedtri Yahya and Ridhwan Salimi Amir Hamzah.
The morning session, led by Fedtri, focused on techniques for crafting spontaneous phrases, voice control, expressive delivery styles, and the secrets of emceeing through the “5F” principles – Focus, Expressiveness, Facts, Phrasing, and Frequency. He also emphasized the importance of reading positive news before an event and speaking in rhythm with one’s heartbeat as a natural emotional control method.
The afternoon session continued with hands-on training led by Ridhwan Salimi, concentrating on announcing the arrival of VVIPs, protocol etiquette, and the structuring of official scripts. Participants had the opportunity to practice stylish emceeing in a simulated real-life setting.
The closing ceremony was graced by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ruslinda Mustafar, who presented tokens of appreciation to both guest speakers.
The workshop successfully unlocked participants’ potential and instilled newfound confidence, proving that emceeing is not just a talent – but a skill that can be honed with the right techniques and training.
10th February 2025 – The Secretariat of Industry Community & Partnerships (HEJIM), Faculty of Medicine, successfully organized the Liaison Officer (LO) Workshop and e-Khidmat System Workshop at the Meeting Room, Level 3, Additional Block, HCTM. The workshop, officiated by YBhg. Associate Professor Dr. Ruslinda Mustafar, Deputy Dean (HEJIM), aimed to provide exposure and strengthen the understanding of LOs regarding their crucial roles. In her speech, she emphasized the faculty management’s high expectations for the appointed LOs in assisting department members with the registration of appointments and received awards, as well as acting as a bridge between the departments and HEJIM in resolving issues related to industry and community collaboration.
This annual LO workshop serves to introduce newly appointed LOs to their roles while further enhancing the understanding of existing LOs regarding their responsibilities. Additionally, briefings on reporting systems such as the Awards & Service System (formerly known as eKhidmat) and the Collaboration Document System were also conducted. The e-Khidmat System Workshop provided participants with hands-on training and a comprehensive understanding of the system’s functions and its role in facilitating reporting and documentation processes.
This year, the workshop was particularly special with the presence of Ms. Nur Khairun Syafiqah Mohd Aini and Ms. Aisyah Amirah Muhamad Som from the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (HEJIM), UKM, who shared their knowledge and experience as key speakers and facilitators for these systems.
The workshop was also open to all faculty members and not limited to LOs alone. Participants took the opportunity to gain deeper insights into the Awards & Service System and the e-Khidmat System, and they expressed hope that such workshops would continue in the future to further strengthen collaboration between departments and HEJIM.
