UKM Faculty of Pharmacy has been offering reputable and fully accredited undergraduate and postgraduate degrees since 1995. Our BPharm(Hons) program is registered with Pharmacy Board Malaysia (LFM) and has since produced skillful pharmacy graduates with high employability rate as registered pharmacists. Being within the Top 200 universities in the world, the faculty has also excelled in cutting-edge research in the areas of drug and herbal development, drug delivery technology and quality use of medicine. Research Driven Research is the heart of our educational activities. Our faculty members are well-known for their excellent in research quality and impact. Three research centres support and coordinate research and educational activities.
Student Centered We are strongly committed to assuring the quality of the student experience through active participation in learning. Our programs facilitate a high level of student-faculty interaction and enhances hands-on involvement with working environment, community engagement and impactful research projects.
Real-World Directed We have a very strong commitment to assuring that our programs really prepare students for the current and future job market. Our academic development is supported by experienced alumni and leaders in pharmacy and health profession. We provide world-class environment for learning, namely Clinical Pharmacy Simulation Laboratory, modern biopharmacy and pharmacy practice laboratories, and academic medical centre. Soon, our newly Active Learning Suite will also be utilised for teaching and learning. We even guide and encourage the students to explore entrepreneurial opportunities.
Community Focused. There has never been a more important time to address the public health challenges of the nation and the world. All students are able to participate in our annual community based projects such as Home Medication Review Programme, Community Service Operation and Pharmacy Awareness Programme.

Our campus is located at Jalan Raja Muda Abdul Aziz, approximately 2.5 kilometres away from the heart of Kuala Lumpur City Centre and Petronas Twin Towers. Our campus also has easy access to the Chow Kit Monorail Station.
All the clinical clerkships will be conducted in our renowned teaching hospital (Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz Cheras) which has high-quality patient- and family-centered care with treatments based on outcomes-based research.

At FFar UKM, students are encouraged to participate in extra-curricular activities. This is to ensure students are able to improve their soft skills, and leadership skills, increases interaction and networking with those outside the campus, learn how to work as a team, as well as give back to the community. These activities are usually organized under the student societies;

Each year approximately 20 activities are lined up for students to take part in. This includes Interaction Days, workshops, volunteering activities, sports, motivational talks, and speaker’s corner. Students are involved in all aspects of the activities from organizing, getting sponsorships, inviting speakers to set up the events. Students were also encouraged to participate in competitions both internationally and nationally. Our pharmacy students have been able to achieve various awards from research to public speaking competitions.
The foundation of our success is the value we place on our excellent partnerships with partner universities and top industry players. Our strategic and corporate partnerships promote the faculty’s involvement in industry and communal corporations which in return increases the quality of research and learning experience we provide to our students.
Collectively, the goal of these alliances is to enable comprehensive networking and collaboration at all levels of the faculty, including the development and implementation of innovative research collaborations, the development and establishment of real-world learning experiences, and the structured exchange of staff and students.
