PMFFAR Volunteering Program: Serum Initiative

Persatuan Mahasiswa Fakulti Farmasi (PMFFar) UKM is aware of how the Covid-19 global pandemic affects many Malaysians. The disease not only affects the health and safety, but the income of many individuals. As part of the new norm in mitigating the disease, individuals are needed to wear face masks, observe physical distancing and use hand sanitisers. Unfortunately, during these tough times, low income earners are unable to afford these requirements.

During Semester 1 20/21, PMFFar UKM along with the NGO Giving Hub and SERUM conducted a Volunteering Fundraising Program to help communities in need by providing them with face masks and hand sanitisers. Approximately 13 volunteers from the Faculty of Pharmacy took part in this program and help raise RM 3594, equivalent to 359 hygiene kits worth RM10 each!
