We are looking for one motivated Master’s student to join our research team at the Faculty of Pharmacy, UKM.
The successful candidate will work on the project:

“Evaluation of a Novel Intra-Articular Tocotrienol Nanoemulsion Hydrogel for Cartilage Protection in an Osteoarthritis Animal Model”

This project aims to develop and characterise a tocotrienol-loaded nanoemulsion hydrogel for intra-articular drug delivery, investigate its anti-inflammatory and cartilage-protective effects, and evaluate its therapeutic potential in an animal model of osteoarthritis.

Position & Candidate Details:
• Grant Scheme: Geran Penyelidikan Eksploratori dan Transformatif (GET) Fasa 2
• Location: Faculty of Pharmacy, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM)
• Monthly Stipend: RM 2,500/month
• Duration: 2 years
• Requirements:

  • Open to Malaysian citizens only.
  • Bachelor’s degree with CGPA > 3.00 in Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Biomedical, or any healthcare-related field.
  • Hardworking, proactive, willing to learn new skills, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Good English proficiency in communication and writing.
