Alhamdulillah on 26th and 27th Feb 2024, 7th INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR ON ISLAMIC CIVILIZATION (ISIC 2024) has been held successfully and has received an outstanding response from all participants via online and physical.

This Seminar is jointly organized by Institute of Islam Hadhari UKM, Chair of Excellence Sheikh Abdullah Fahim (Hadhari UKM), Department of Arabic Language and Culture, National Chengchi University (NCCU), Taipei, Taiwan, Faculty of Islamic Studies, UKM and School of Liberal Studies (CITRA), UKM.

The welcoming speech is given by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Fariza Md Sham, FASc, Director, Institute of Islam Hadhari, UKM followed by Prof. Dr. I-Wen Su, Chair, Department of Arabic Language and Culture, National Chengchi University (NCCU), Taiwan. Then this seminar is officiated by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Wan Kamal Mujani, Deputy Vice Chancellor of Research and Innovation Affairs, UKM. He has welcomed this collaboration and welcomed all 47 presenters from multiple institutes, universities and countries. Prof. Dato Dr. Wan Kamal also convey his wish that the seminar hopefully will enhance the relationship between UKM and Taipei, Taiwan even more especially to other parts of Taiwan and other universities there. The opening ceremony ended with souvenirs exchange and photography session.

The first day consisted of 19 papers/presenters and on 2nd day we have 28 papers/presenters and some of presenters have shown a tremendous support by presenting two papers in this seminar. The seminar is then finished on time and the closing ceremony is given by Prof. Sr Ts. Dr. Adi Irfan Che Ani, Dean, School of Liberal Studies, UKM. He conveyed his message and hope that all the papers presented will soon be selected for certain publication especially in Jurnal Hadhari: An International Journal and others. He then added his encouragement to all participants and presenters to review, furnish and update respective papers presented thoroughly so that the secretariat can help the publication process faster which then can helps both parties. The seminar end with a souvenir exchange and photography session and a light tea break.
