Research Areas
Sharipah Nadzirah is a Lecturer/Research Fellow at the Institute of Microengineering and Nanoelectronics (IMEN), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). She holds a PhD in Nanoelectronic Engineering (UniMAP) and a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Industrial Physics (UiTM). Her expertise is in nanoelectronic engineering and advanced biosensor fabrication. Her research covers nano/microelectronics, semiconductor device fabrication, device physics, and electronic biosensors, particularly field-effect transistor (FET) sensors, interdigitated electrode platforms, and metal oxide nanomaterials. She develops semiconductor-based biosensors for detecting Escherichia coli DNA, Human Serum Albumin, COVID-19 RNA, and Human Papillomavirus (HPV) DNA. With 64 indexed publications (H-index: 13; 607citations), she holds a Malaysian patent (MY209513A) on FET biosensor technology and actively promotes academia–industry collaborations for healthcare and industrial diagnostics.
