Poverty Dialogue 3.0, 23 October 2025

On October 23, 2025, the UNESCO Club of UKM in collaboration with MyPropertyIs had organized Poverty Dialogue 3.0. Under the theme “Is the Minimum Wage Enough?”, the one-day youth-led dialogue aimed to enhance awareness and understanding of the minimum wage and socioeconomic inequality through sharings by experts from multidisciplinary perspectives: Datuk Hj. Shamsuddin Bardan (Malaysian Employers Federation, MEF), Umar Aiman Abd Manan (HungerHurts Malaysia), Dr. Rospidah Bt. Ghazali (LESTARI-UKM), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hazrul Izuan Bin Shahiri (Faculty of Economics and Management, UKM), Sharifah Hani Yasmin Syed Abdullah (One Step Closer) and Chong Zhi Zheng (Institute of Strategic and International Studies Malaysia, ISIS). KITA Research Fellow and Manager of UNESCO Chair at UKM, Dr. Nurul Akqmie Badrul Hisham participated in the event as an advisor for the UNESCO Club.
