MoU Signing Ceremony between UKM and Johor State Government, 10 September 2025

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Signing Ceremony between Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and the Johor State Government was held today, September 10, 2025 (Wednesday) at the Bitara Meeting Room, Faculty of Islamic Studies, UKM Bangi.

The MoU focuses on collaboration in training and enhancing Johor public service officers through postgraduate academic programs and professional certifications, sharing best practices, and pursuing other mutually agreed initiatives via the Institute of Ethnic Studies (KITA) and the Johor Civil Service Academy (Akademi Perkhidmatan Tadbir Negeri Johor, APTNJ).

The MoU was signed by UKM Pro Vice-Chancellor for Strategy and Nationalism, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Roslee Rajikan, and APTNJ Chief Executive Officer Dato’ Dr. Badrul Hisham Kassim. Also present to witness the ceremony were KITA-UKM Founding Director, Distinguished Prof. Datuk Dr. Shamsul Amri Baharuddin; APTNJ Vice CEO, YM Ungku Mohd Tahir Ungku Mohd Zakaria; and distinguished representatives from both parties.

Note: KITA’s involvement in the activities mentioned herein contributes towards the following SDG(s) of the UN Sustainable Development Goals: SDG4 and SDG17.
