Introduction

The International Future Scientists Conference 2023 (iFSC 2023) is the 12th in a line of successful conferences organized by Pusat GENIUS@Pintar Negara, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. This year, the theme for this conference is “Global Challenges, Local Solutions“. Through a multidisciplinary strategy that highlights and embraces interdisciplinary linkages across Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM), this conference seeks to comprehensively tap into the research potential of young researchers. This conference will provide a crucial opportunity for the students to exchange their diverse knowledge and experiences, stimulating good decision-making and empowering them to think critically about issues in their daily environments. Through discovery, discussion, and presentation, these young researchers are able to use important abilities like problem-solving, critical thinking, cooperation, and creativity together with crucial technology to become strong thinkers and excellent decision-makers. The consistent application of research knowledge and skills is crucial to the development of an individual’s potential, intellectual prowess, and human capital. This will help young researchers lead productive lives and prepare them for 21st-century challenges and worldwide competition.
