UKM has been a pioneer university in this field since 1999.The core areas of knowledge that are important in this program are occupational safety management system, hazard and risk assessment, fire and explosives safety, ergonomics, industrial and organizational psychology, chemical and radiation safety, electrical and mechanical safety, environmental and biological safety as well as industry and environmental law. All course content is delivered to students through lectures, internships, field work, industrial tours and research projects. Course evaluation is conducted through examinations and quizzes, assignments, reports, practices, field work reports, research project reports and oral presentations. This program is offered in executive mode only and is only offered once in each study session. It is carried out according to the semester system, which is 3 semesters implemented on every weekend. Students are required to take a core course that in total carries 40 credit hours.
