A bachelor’s degree in Law or Syariah or a bachelor’s degree in any field that has a legal or Syariah component from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia or other universities approved by the Senate with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.50 out of 4.0 or its equivalent as accepted by the Senate; OR

Candidates with a CGPA of below 2.50 out of 4.0 or equivalent qualifications can be accepted provided they have a minimum of 5 years of work experience in a related field and are subject to the Faculty Graduate Studies Committee’s assessment that the candidate is able to pursue the Master’s program.

International candidates must have a score of 600 for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) OR 100 for the Online TOEFL Test OR a score of 6.0 for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) OR Band 4 for Malaysian University English Test (MUET) OR any exam that has been aligned to The Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) set by the respective program and approved by the Senate.

All international students are required to follow a Malay language course as an Audit (U) course in order to be eligible to be awarded a degree as determined by the University.
