On 16th May 2025 (Friday), the annual Pharmnight event was held at the Golden Chersonese Media Hall, with the dress code – “English Party”. Students who had excelled in their academic studies and extracurricular activities were appreciated and awarded during the event. It also served as a ceremony to celebrate the future pharmacy graduates, specifically the Year 4 students of the 2024/2025 session. Upon registering at the desk prior to entering the hall, attendees received a well-designed, English-style keychain as a door gift.
The event commenced at 8:15 p.m. with a warm opening address delivered by Prof. Dr. Mohd bin Makmor Bakry and the Pharmnight chairperson, Muhammad Syukri Bin Ali Suffri. Subsequently, the opening gimmick officially launched the event. Dinner was provided to all attendees, including staff and lecturers, around 8:45 p.m.. A wide variety of dishes was prepared, such as butter chicken, black pepper beef, sweet and sour fish fillet, and spaghetti. Desserts like ice cream and mini cakes were also available. While dinner was being served, an appreciation video by the organising committee was presented, followed by a performance by Year 1 students on stage. The award ceremony then began, honouring around 80 undergraduate and postgraduate students with the Dean’s List Award, along with the presentation of the JATI Best Team Award.
Throughout the event, attendees enjoyed lucky draw sessions and various performances by pharmacy students and Pharmaband, including singing and playing the violin. Additionally, one of the most thrilling sessions was the interactive activity called “Melodi Memori”, in which students guessed song titles after listening to musical excerpts. Winners of this activity received a pack of goodies.
The event continued with an award-giving ceremony in which the Student Excellence Award was presented to Nadia Irdina Binti Khairul Faizy (Leadership), Nurain Binti Mohd Ali (Entrepreneurship), Lim Jia Wei (Sports), Muhammad Aqeel Bin Khailani (Volunteering) and Ahmad Haiqal Izzad Bin Abdullah (Culture). A huge congratulations to Tan Xin Yan who won Anugerah Siswa Harapan PMFFar sesi 2024/2025 and Melissa Sia Yun Shan who won Anugerah Tokoh Siswa PMFFar sesi 2024/2025! Additionally, Pharmaniaga Award was given to Bethrisya Syaheira Binti Mazlan and Teo Yi Ying, followed by Ibnu Sina Award won by Rasyiqah Adibah Binti Jamaluddin.
The event concluded with a heartfelt appreciation video, followed by singing and dancing performances from the final year students to all lecturers and staff of the Faculty of Pharmacy. Pharmnight 2025, with its theme “Satu Majlis, Seribu Inspirasi”, brought everyone together in a celebration filled with gratitude, joy and unforgettable memories. From lively performances to a delightful dinner shared with friends and lecturers, every moment was filled with warmth and laughter, making it a night to remember.
