Bachelor in Accounting (Honours)

The philosophy of this programme is to produce graduates who are ethical, well-versed in the dynamic and global social, economic, and business environment, skilled in accounting in accordance with professional requirements, confident, and capable of creative thinking.

This programme is recognised as a professional programme by the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA). It is also benchmarked against the standards of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).

The programme has gained recognition from both local and international professional bodies, including The Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA), the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the Chartered Institute of Management
Accountants (CIMA), the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (CTIM), and The Malaysian Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (MAICSA).

Graduates of the Bachelor of Accounting programme may be eligible for exemptions from certain professional examination modules offered by the MICPA, ACCA, CIMA, and ICAEW, provided they meet the specified criteria. (Please refer to the official websites of the respective professional bodies, for the latest exemption details and eligibility requirements.)

  1. Graduates who apply accounting knowledge both theoretically and practically, as well as being digitally literate in problem-solving.

  2. Graduates who possess leadership skills, responsibility, autonomy, and the ability to communicate and interact effectively with stakeholders.

  3. Graduates who engage in lifelong learning activities and exhibit an entrepreneurial mindset for personal and career development.

  4. Graduates who demonstrate ethical, professional, and integrity-driven conduct in dealings with stakeholders.

Upon completion of the programme, graduates should be able to:

  1. Identify fundamental knowledge, theories, and principles of accounting in executing accounting functions.

  2. Apply accounting knowledge and skills to solve complex business problems.

  3. Demonstrate practical competencies in accounting and business functions to address business challenges.

  4. Exhibit teamwork and interpersonal skills in resolving organisational and business issues.

  5. Demonstrate effective communication skills, both orally and in writing, to stakeholders.

  6. Utilise digital skills in information management.

  7. Analyse numerical data in task completion.

  8. Exhibit leadership qualities, responsibility, and autonomy within a team.

  9. Demonstrate continuous self-development through lifelong learning.

  10. Display an entrepreneurial mindset in managing an organisation sustainably.

  11. Exhibit behaviour that is consistent with professional ethics.

To be eligible for graduation, students must successfully complete a minimum of 139 credit units, as outlined below:

  • University Core Courses – 22 units
  • Core Courses – 100 units
  • Core Course (Industrial Training) – 8 units
  • Elective Courses – 9 units

Bachelor in Business Administration (Honours)

The purpose and objectives of the Bachelor of Business Administration programme are to produce graduates who are skilled and knowledgeable in both theoretical and practical aspects of business administration, encompassing management, marketing, and finance.

Objectives of the Bachelor of Business Administration Programme:

  1. To produce business management graduates who are knowledgeable in both theoretical and practical aspects, as well as digitally literate in problem-solving.

  2. To develop graduates with leadership skills, a strong sense of responsibility, interpersonal abilities, and effective communication skills with stakeholders.

  3. To cultivate graduates who engage in lifelong learning activities and possess an entrepreneurial mindset for personal and career development.

  4. To nurture graduates who are ethical, professional, and possess integrity in their dealings with stakeholders.

Upon completion of the programme, graduates should be able to:

  1. Identify theories and concepts in business management.
  2. Apply business management theories and concepts in problem-solving.
  3. Implement activities related to business management processes.
  4. Demonstrate interaction skills through collaboration with stakeholders.
  5. Exhibit effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
  6. Utilise digital skills relevant to business management.
  7. Analyse numerical data in task execution.
  8. Display leadership qualities, autonomy, and responsibility in business management.
  9. Demonstrate continuous self-development through lifelong learning.
  10. Exhibit entrepreneurial thinking in business management.
  11. Practise professionalism based on ethical principles and integrity.

To be eligible for graduation, students must successfully complete a minimum of 122 credit units, as outlined below:

  • University Core Courses – 22 units
  • Core Courses – 71 units
  • Core Course (Industrial Training) – 8 units
  • Elective Courses – 21 units

The Bachelor in Economics programme equips graduates with the ability to understand economic issues and propose appropriate solutions in line with current conditions. The programme remains relevant and adaptable, reflecting the dynamic nature of economics. Economic cycles, whether expansion or contraction, are continuous processes that require fresh insights to address contemporary challenges effectively.

  1. Graduates with both theoretical and practical knowledge of economics, capable of utilising digital tools for problem-solving.
  2. Graduates with leadership qualities, interpersonal responsibility, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  3. Graduates committed to continuous learning and equipped with an entrepreneurial mindset for self-development and career growth.

Bachelor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (Honours)

The goal of the Bachelor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation with Honours programme is to produce entrepreneurial graduates who can explore, create, and realise new business ideas or ventures.
