Targeted for students who are interested in research work and wish to continue their career as researchers or academicians. Students who enroll in these programmes are required to produce a thesis at the end of their study period. The thesis will be judged by examiners and defended by the candidate in an oral presentation

Targeted for students that have long left the university or working professionals who wish to upgrade their knowledge by taking advanced professional skilled courses without involvement in a long research. Students who enrol in these programmes are required to take advanced courses that had been specified and also produce a master project report

Dr. Fazly Amri Mohd

I am graduated PhD in Civil & Structural Engineering with major in geomatic at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) since 2019.  I have learnt a lot of new research skills especially coastal engineering field which can apply in my future profession. The courses in FKAB provides opportunities to me to develop a global view and broad my prospects. The infrastructures and the learning environment at in the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment (FKAB) are very good and conducive. The great moment of my PhD journey was joint collabration with industry partners and won the Best Thesis PhD Award in 2020 – Category of IPTA/IPTS, Kementerian Alam Sekitar & Air, Malaysia.

Ir. Dr. Deprizon Syamsunur

I feel blessed beyond measure to have done my Master's and PhD in Civil Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. I received the "Skim Zamalah" scholarship and placement as a research assistant during my Master's and PhD. I am also glad that I was able to work on a research topic that I was passionate about with a great supervisor and team. Additionally, I was part of an intelligent system team in highway and transportation, which allowed me to learn a lot of new artificial intelligence system skills outside the scope of my research. The best part of my Master's and PhD journey was winning a gold medal in Seoul International Invention Fair in 2004 and receiving the excellent scientist award from the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education in 2005. FKAB Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia is, for me, the perfect place to do research activity and excellent for intellectual development.

All the words of thanks cannot describe my feelings to be a graduate from the National University of Malaysia (UKM) and be one of the ambassadors of this University to the world. I have graduated from the Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment (FKAB). Before Joining the UKM I have no idea about the meaning of research, but today I was the best young researcher in Near East University for the 2018-2019 academic year.
