Master of Environmental Engineering (MEng – Taught Course)

The Master of Environmental Engineering programme is designed to meet the continual professional development needs of professional engineers and the industry. This programme provides an integrated background in environmental science which covers ecosystem and environmental impacts and management, liquid and solid waste management and treatment, waste water engineering, sewerage and sanitary systems, air pollution equipment design, air pollution chemistry and safety considerations. It has a system of compulsory and elective courses that provides allows sufficient flexibility in constructing an educational programme to meet closely the needs of students and employers.

Programme Educational Objectives (PEO)

PEO1: Graduates with morals values and ethical as well as able to fulfil social responsibility in their respective organizations.

PEO2: Graduates with advanced knowledge and competent in the field of environmental engineering.

PEO3: Graduates who can lead and competitive as well as innovative in the environmental engineering industry.

Programme Learning Outcomes (PLO)

PLO1: Knowledge – Ability to demonstrate mastery of knowledge in environmental engineering

PLO2: Practical Skills – Ability to apply practical skills and competitive in the specialized field of environmental engineering.

PLO3: Social Skills and Responsibility – Ability to make link ideas and social and environmental issues in environmental engineering

PLO4: Values, Attitudes and Professionalism – Ability to conduct research projects with minimal supervision , adhere to the legal code of practice , ethical and professional.

PLO5: Communication Skills , Leadership and Teamwork – Ability to demonstrate leadership qualities through communication and efficient teamwork among colleagues and stakeholders .

PLO6: Information Management Skill and Scientific Skill – Ability to provide solutions to problems using scientific and critical thinking skills.

PLO7: Information Management Skills and Lifelong Learning – Ability to manage information for lifelong learning

PLO8: Managerial and Entrepreneurial Skills – Ability to apply engineering knowledge, management principle and entrepreneurship.
