Visit from the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) to Explore Research and Student Exchange Collaborations

15 July 2025 — This morning, Prof. Yuansong Wei, a representative from the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), visited the Department of Earth Sciences and Environment (JSBAS), Faculty of Science and Technology (FST), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), to discuss potential collaborative initiatives.

The primary focus of the visit was to explore opportunities for research partnerships and student exchange programs between UKM and institutions under the CAS. This engagement marks a significant step toward strengthening international ties and promoting global academic cooperation.

The session was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, Heads of Programmes, and academic representatives from JSBAS. Discussions revolved around mutual areas of interest in environmental and earth sciences, fostering a platform for future joint initiatives.
