Master of Engineering (Civil)

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The programme is offered for both full-time and part-time registration status. Part-time registration status can only be taken by Malaysians. A full-time coursework may be completed within one year or two consecutive semesters. The learning process of the courses offered in the program may include lectures, laboratory works, research, reports, projects, assignment, seminars and presentation. Each course carries 4 units except for Master Thesis which carries 8 units. A 4 unit is equivalent to a 3-hour lecture per week for 14 weeks in a semester. The program offers four specialisations, i.e. a) Structure & Material, b) Geotechnics, c) Environment & Water Resources, and d) Transportation. At each semester at least 3 courses shall be offered for each specialisation. Students should take at least 6 courses in the chosen specialisation and the other 4 courses from the relevant fields of options. Thesis in the area of chosen specialisation must be prepared in at least two semesters.
