On 4th of March 2013, PPL received a visit from Group Manager of Conservation and Environmental Management Division (under Yayasan Sabah Group), Dr. Waidi Sinun and his team. The aim of this short visit is to see the research facilities that PPL offers and to know research progress that PPL have done so far. Dr. Waidi was very impressed with PPL infrastructures and aiming to adopt it at Imbak Field Centre soon. Below is the text message received by Prof. Dr. Mazlin Mokhtar, Director of LESTARI from Dr. Waidi Sinun right after the visit ended:
“Thanking for arranging our visit to your centre at a last minute request. Your officer was very kind. I notice a bit of Danum Valley with huge improvement in your centre, which I aim to adopt at Imbak. Thank you for sharing. You have a global centre of excellent in a making. Would like to follow your progress”
