Chini Lake itself has 12 water openings known as “laut” or sea by the local or indigenous people. Biodiversity of flora and fauna richness in Tasik Chini includes 51 species of lowland forest plants, 15 species of swamp plants, 25 species of aquatic plants and 87 species of freshwater fish. The unique features of lotus (Nelumbo nucifera), water lily (Nymphea pubescens) and kercut (Lepironia articulata) with the presence of fish species attract visitors to visit Tasik Chini. Visitors can take a boat to visit 12 different lakes around Lake Chini and visit Orang Asli villages in Gumum village, Tg. Puput village and Cendahan village.

The PPTC trails are one of the practical learning places for visitors. It is essential as it has a clear trail path with various unique forest trees. These trails as an attraction to researchers, university students and students to see the diversity of flora and fauna as they learn the techniques of forest tree identification and find out the commercial value of forest trees in Lake Chini.
