Delegation from India visiting UKM, 6 July 2018

KITA Principal Fellow Prof. Datuk Dr. Denison Jayasooria joined UKM in welcoming a four-member delegation from the Kalinga International Foundation to Bangi campus on July 6th, 2018. The delegation members comprised of Ambassador Rajiv Bhatia, Dr. Vijay Sakhuja and two Jawaharlal Nehru University Professors, namely Prof. Amita Batra and Prof. Shamkari Sundararaman. First Secretary from High Commission of India, Dr. Varun Jeph accompanied the delegation on their UKM visit.

Associate Prof. Dr. Ravichandran Moorthy, head of FSSK Centre for Policy & Global Governance hosted the dialogue and we had a fruitful discussion on contemporary issues in post GE14 as well as a discussion on India’s foreign policy relations with Malaysia. Prof. Datuk Dr. Denison Jayasooria presented a copy of the KITA-UKM publication entitled β€˜Contemporary Malaysian Indians’ to Ambassador Rajiv Bhatia. Also presented during the event was Editor of the book, Prof. Dr. K.S. Nathan.
