Retirement Announcement, 28 June 2019

After 35 years of dedicated service to UKM, KITA Senior Fellow Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmad Nidzammuddin Sulaiman or fondly known as Dr. Nidzam, has set his sights on a well-deserved retirement.

Dr. Nidzam began his career at Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, UKM in 1984 before he joined the newly established Institute of Ethnic Studies (KITA) in 24 November 2010. In 2011 he was appointed as the first Head of Quality Assurance at KITA and subsequently appointed as KITA Deputy Director in 2013. In 2014, Dr. Nidzam relinquished the post to go for a final sabbatical leave before his retirement. His last working day was on 28 June 2019.

Dr. Nidzam has been an integral part of KITA for the last nine years. The entire KITA community has benefitted from Dr. Nidzam’s commitment and passion for both researching and teaching where he is known for giving generously of his time and experience to students and colleagues in and beyond KITA, particularly in his areas of specialization of political science, public policy and comparative politics.
