BANGI, April 6, 2016 – All students at The National University of Malaysia (UKM) should aspire to become entrepreneurs regardless of their area of specialisation, said Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry, Datuk Ahmad Maslan.

He said that there are a lot of opportunities in the country for graduates who wish to be entrepreneurs.

“There are many projects being developed in Kuala Lumpur that can have a big impact on entrepreneurs,” he said in his speech at the 2016 Ibrahim Yaakub Residential  College’s Highlander programme, an entrepreneurial programme, here on March 26.

As an example, he cited the Tun Razak Exchange (TRX), which is currently under construction in Kuala Lumpur, that will become an international financial centre, as a good opportunity.

Earlier, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic and International Affairs), Prof Dato’ Dr Riza Atiq Abdullah OK Rahmat said the Highlander programme is a food initiative by students to showcase their excellence.

He added that the programme nurtures and guides students to be able to have smart partnerships with members of society and other strategic parties.ukmnewsportal-eg
