Part 1 delves into the country’s extensive history of migratory flows, tracing its development into a pivotal crossroads. Part 2 explores the complex interplay between contemporary history, politics, society and culture, shaping the dynamic relationship between Mexico and the United States.
Profil Pembentang
Professor Silvia Núñez García has held the position of Director of the Los Angeles branch from UNAM during 2021 -2022. She is also a Tenure Researcher on U.S.- Mexico relations since 1989, at the Center for Research on North America (CISAN-UNAM), an institution under her leadership from 2009-2017. She is a lecturer on North American Studies at the School of Social and Political Sciences from the same university. She has been a Visiting Scholar at Georgetown University, Michigan State University, the Jawaharlal Nehru University in India, and the Università di Lingue e Comunicazione (IULM), in Milan, Italy. Silvia Núñez has been a distinguished member of the U.S.- Mexico Fulbright Commission, and Chair of the Metropolis International Conference in Mexico City in 2015. Her field of expertise is social structure, social inequality, migration, and gender in North America.
