Writing Field Work (Grant Proposal)

Guideline of “Protected Time” for Grant Proposal Writing at Faculty of Medicine

Faculty Members may apply for ‘protected-time’ fieldwork for the following purposes :

Writing and submitting grant proposals* for national, industrial and international grants.
Amendments to grant proposal* that have been screening by grant writing workshop in the faculty.

* Grant proposal writing for internal faculty (GFFP) not accepted.

Each Faculty Member is allowed to apply once a year for the Writing Field Work. Each fieldwork starts from Monday to Friday (or 2-3 days with break in between) during the 5 working days of the week. Total number of days allows is 5 days.
The application for fieldwork must be recommended by the Head of Department and approved by the Deputy Dean of Research and Innovation. The fieldwork will be recorded as the Official Activity in the attendance system by the Administrator Officer of the Faculty of Medicine.
Application form must be submitted to the Secretariat of Research & Innovation Faculty of Medicine UKM (SPI) at least TWO weeks before the writing course.
The applicant must submit the proved of submission ONE WEEK after completion of each fieldwork**

A copy of email/letter of proved of submission of grant proposal.
Or
A copy of email/letter of submission of revised grant proposal

**An annual leave deduction will be made if the applicant does not submit the above proof and they are not allowed to apply for the next ONE year
