Latar Belakang

Saya menyertai Program Geologi sejak 2012 sebagai pensyarah muda dalam bidang geofizik. Setelah mendapat sijil Doktor Falsafah dari Universiti Sains Malaysia (2017), kajian saya banyak tertumpu kepada bidang geofizik penjelajahan (geoterma). Besar harapan saya untuk mewujudkan janakuasa geoterma yang pertama di Malaysia pada masa akan datang.

Dalam masa yang sama, kajian saya juga melibatkan bidang geofizik persekitaran dan kejuruteraan. Aktiviti kajian banyak tertumpu kepada penilaian sumber air bawah tanah, penilaian tapak bangunan dan isu-isu kestabilan cerun.

 

Kepakaran

  • Mekanik batuan: Faktor kestabilian cerun berdasarkan kekasaran permukaan
  • Geofizik (keberintangan elektrik): Pencemaran tanah
  • Kestabilan terowong: Kaedah gabungan geofizik gunaan dan mekanik batuan
  • Air bawah tanah: Penentuan kawasan berpotensi
  • Mata air panas: potensi kawasan sebagai sumber tenaga geoterma

  • Geological, Geomechanical and Geochemical Factors For Main Access Tunnel Integrity of Lower Power Station, Sungai Piah Hydroelectric Scheme: STGL -012-2012.
  • Geothermal potential of Western Malaysia from geological, geochemical and geophysical perspectives: PhD research at USM.
  • Application geophysical method in engineering and environmental issues.

Application of geophysical method i.e resistivity and ground penetration radar to determine water body location and lineament pattern. Rock mechanic method used to determine the rock mass strength and shotcrete quality.

Application geophysical method in engineering and environmental issues i.e groundwater, mineral exploration, quarry potential and slope stability.
